they will fit your windows perfectly regardless of their dimensions. Generally you have two main options available for hanging your
curtains. And depending on the method you choose your curtain’s design
will have to match the hanging system accordingly. So for instance if you’re using Rods to hang your curtains then you
know that Eyelet or Ring based curtains will be most compatible. If
you’re using tracks or rails then your curtain needs the old school
method of tape and hooks for hanging purposes. You can use your
existing Rods or Rails for your custom made curtain. Or if you want to
step out all shiny and new then remember Dubai Centre stocks literally
everything you could possibly need for all types of curtain hanging
applications. The majority of our made to order curtain customers come to us
already
prepared with measurements jotted down. But we also frequently send our
install teams out to help with taking window measurements. Even so here
are some useful guidelines to follow when measuring for curtains. The
first rule of thumb is to use the right tool for the job. So make sure
your measuring tape is up to standard, long enough for the application,
and preferably of the metal tape variety. You can write down your
measurements in either centimetres or millimetres, but do keep in mind
that most people in crafts prefer working with millimetres. You will be
taking two key measurements for each window – Length and Width. If
you’re going to be using your own tracks then start by checking the
clearing distance between the track and the edge of the window frame. Then measure with your tape from the top of the track to the floor.
Finally deduct approximately 30mm from the bottom so your curtains do
not drag along the floor. If you’re installing eyelet curtains then you
would measure from the top of the rod reaching down to the floor. Again
make an allowance for the bottom clearance between curtain and floor. For a rods and rings setup your measurement starts from the eye on
the
ring where you place the curtain hooks. Now for the width of
your curtain. Assuming you have rods or rails already installed,
measure the distance from one side to the other horizontally, using the
edges of your hanging equipment as a guide. If you are planning on
installing new rails then measure the entire window width and make an
allowance of about 50mm extra on either side. If you’re still unsure
about how to go about taking your curtain measurements, or would like
the professionals to take care of it for you, then just drop us line,
and we’ll be happy to send out one of our curtain install teams to
assist you. Curtain lining is traditionally used as the first layer of curtain
that
can be seen from the outside of your window. These are the curtains
which normally remain closed for the purpose of privacy. At the same
time they need to be light enough both in terms of colour and texture,
so as to allow as much light as you need flowing into your home during
the daytime. Many curtain lining fabrics also serve as protection
against UV light while still providing ample brightness when your main
curtains are opened. As much as you would emphasise the beauty and
style of your curtains on the inside, you also want your windows to
look attractive from the outside. So do not compromise on the design
and quality of the curtain lining you use. Our consultants are ever
ready to assist you in picking the right lining fabric. They will tell
you what you should consider when choosing lining fabric as well as
provide advice on which curtain cloth is better for lining. Our highly efficient install teams will make sure your curtains are
hung accurately and neatly, and will complete your project timeously.
They are also available on call to handle any repair or maintenance
issues should they arise. Fill in your details and requirements below,
