Custom-made Blinds
CUSTOM-MADE BLINDS
Electronic home automation systems are already here, and Blinds
controlled with an App on your phone are no exception. Smart blinds can be programmed to open and close at specific times
to match your day to day lifestyle. This means you have full control
over your privacy. And you can decide how much natural light you wish
to let in or keep out at different times. Motorized roller blinds coupled with automation gives you several
options of how you wish to manage your blinds and control their
behaviour. They are designed not only to enhance the interior design aspect of
your home but also to make your life easier. When looking at fabrics and materials for Blinds the first thing you
need to consider is the amount of light filtering you require. This will depend on the particular room it’s going to be used in,
and
the size of window you wish to cover with Blinds. The Blinds materials
themselves cater to a variety of light producing or reducing effects. Among the many Blind materials in vogue today, the most popular for
varying light filtering are Blackout, Dimout and Sheer. Our consultants will be in a better position to advise on which
Blinds
material you should go for and are eager to ask you the right questions
in order to help you make a well informed decision. Roller Blinds offer you the convenience of being the fastest if not
the
easiest to open and close. This is so because they are usually
manufactured using highly flexible material which naturally allows them
to be rolled up or down, hence the name Roller Blinds. Usually this process involves either a spring load system or one
controlled by a chain pulley. This also gives the advantage of being able to block light quickly
for
private meetings in an office for example. Or if you want this feature in your home it will definitely add a
touch
of class and sophistication to your chosen window covering system. If you go the remote controlled Blind route you wouldn’t have to
manually pull down or release the Roller blind but can do so from a
distance. Venetian blinds are still popular to this day and are made up of
slats
which turn to face either vertically for closing or horizontally for
letting light in. This is achieved by use of a tilt mechanism which you control by
twisting a handle or pulling up or down with a string. Venetian Blinds can also be raised and stacked so that you have
complete access to the window pane. This is useful for when you want to
wash your windows, or if you just feel like enjoying maximum light and
airflow into your home. Adding an electric system to the mix makes your Venetian Blind an
absolute pleasure to use for both functions – adjusting the angle of
the slats or raising and lowering them. Roman Blinds are similar to Roller Blinds in that they are made up
of a
single piece of fabric. However they work by folding rather than
rolling the fabric into layers that are raised to the top of your
window frame. Closing the Roman blinds is done by simply releasing the folds and
restoring the entire blind to its original flat state. You can also
compliment a setup like this with a motorized solution which can be
easily fitted by our installers. We stock an even greater variety of Blinds in store than the three
mentioned above. So you are most welcome to visit us and we’ll be happy
